2-Year-Old Reading Adventure
Not memorizing. Sounding out.
Real reading, not guessing.

If your child can point to a cow and say “moo,” they’re ready to learn letter sounds.

Read by Kindergarten™ is a 4-book Reading Adventure that starts at age 2 and teaches kids to sound out words in just a few minutes a day — with you as the coach. In the first 4–6 months, most families see their child reading real CVC words like cat, bat, hat, rat by sounding them out, not memorizing flashcards.

Who this is for

This is for high-achieving moms who don’t want to guess their way through early learning. You value education, you invest in high-quality childcare, activities, or classes, and you keep wondering: “Am I doing the right thing? How much should I be teaching?”

It’s especially for you if you want your child truly ahead in reading without turning home into a pressure cooker.

  • Busy 2–3-year-old moms
  • Invests in quality care & activities
  • Loves research-backed answers
  • Wants joyful, not drill-based learning

Is my child really ready at 2?

If your child can point to a cow and say “moo,” they’re ready. That simple ability — matching a picture to a sound — is the same skill we build on in Read by Kindergarten. We just swap animal sounds for letter sounds, then show you how to play short, joyful games that connect those sounds to letters.

From there, we gently teach your child to blend those sounds into real words. It still feels like play to them, but you’ll start seeing those jaw-dropping, “Wait… did you just read that?” moments.

What makes Read by Kindergarten different?

Most toddler “reading” programs…

  • Teach kids to memorize the same 10–20 words.
  • Rely on pictures and guessing.
  • Look impressive, but if you cover the picture, they freeze.
  • Don’t transfer to new books or new words.

Read by Kindergarten™…

  • Starts with letter sounds, motion, and sound play.
  • Teaches kids to blend sounds into real words.
  • Still works when you cover the picture — because they’re sounding it out.
  • Builds a decoder, not a word-memorizer, so skills grow with your child.

We’re not teaching tricks. We’re teaching decoding.

What your child will be able to do

In the first 4–6 months, with short 5–10 minute sessions, most families:

  • Finish Sounds Made Simple and build strong sound–symbol connections.
  • Move far enough into From Sounds to Words for their child to start reading real CVC words like cat, bat, hat, rat by sounding them out.

Keep going, and the rest of Book 2 — and then Books 3 & 4 — stretch them into:

  • Simple decodable sentences like “The rat sat by the cup.”
  • Long-vowel words like cake, bike, home.
  • Vowel-team words like rain, boat, tree.

Your child isn’t just reading a book they memorized. They’re learning how to figure out new words.

The Read by Kindergarten 4-Book Path

Book 1 – Sounds Made Simple (26 lessons)

Fun actions, chants, and games that lock in every letter sound, one sound per day. Each sound includes a QR code you can scan to hear the correct pronunciation instantly, so you never have to search the internet or guess if you’re saying it right. We’re wiring in the sound–symbol connections their brain is hungry for at 2–3 and setting them up for easy wins before reading gets harder.

Book 2 – From Sounds to Words (80 lessons)

We move from sounds to blending. By Lesson 34, your child is sounding out their first CVC words like cat, bat, hat, rat. Keep going, and they’re reading simple sentences like “The rat sat by the cup.”

Book 3 – Long Vowel Launch

We launch into long vowels and Magic E (like cake, bike, home), broken into tiny, toddler-friendly steps so early readers don’t hit a wall when words change from short to long vowels.

Book 4 – Vowel Teams

We tackle vowel teams (like ai, ee, oa). Kids learn that “two vowels together can work as a team,” so they can read words like rain, boat, tree and beyond.

How it works for real moms with real lives

You don’t need hours a day. You need the right 10 minutes, done consistently. We make it simple:

  • Short, scripted lessons – 5–10 minutes. You’ll know exactly what to say and do.
  • Print-and-play pages – No Pinterest rabbit holes. Just open the book and go.
  • Scan-and-play QR codes – Every sound has a QR code so you can hear it correctly in seconds, without hunting YouTube or second-guessing yourself.
  • Clear milestones – You’ll always know what your child is working toward next.
  • Motion-based learning – Hebb’s Law in action: what fires together, wires together.

My “Sound It Out, Don’t Guess” Guarantee

If you do the work, I’ll stand behind the results.

If you complete at least 60 of the first 80 ten-minute lessons from Books 1 and 2 within 6 months, and your child still cannot:

  • Look at a new simple CVC word (like cat, hat, rat), and
  • Sound it out without a picture,

I’ll personally coach you 1:1 until they can.

No tricks, no memorizing a few cute words. We’re building a decoder — a child who can figure out new words as they grow.

Be the mom who started at 2.

Join the Reading Adventure and give your child a joyful, science-backed path from “moo” and letter sounds to real reading — without turning your home into a drill session.
